Ap art final
1st finished peice: The Catch"
for this final artwork, I decided to use colored pencils to recreate a famous photograph of two NFL players in the middle of a passed touchdown. I thought this idea would go great with my inquiry of whether aliens lived in our current civilization. This alien is on a football team and is in the middle of a game. I first sketched the bodies out in pencil and started coloring them in with colored pencils which I like how they turned out. I had this idea after watching a football game and thinking about what the aliens should be doing in real life that nobody would ever think about, I think this is a perfect one. I based this off of the photograph and then found multiple references on Pinterest of aliens' faces and tried to capture them. At first, I wasn't sure I should try and capture this action shot because the body would be very difficult to recreate. I like how it turned out because the motion is very capturing.
2nd finished piece: "Alien Riding in a Cab"
This is another artwork I finished of an alien in a cab driving around the city. I did this because it is another example connected to my inquiry about aliens living with us and doing normal day things. I thought about this while I was actually in an Uber and thought it would be funny if I drew an alien inside of one. The alien is looking around the city because he is new to this civilization. I sketched out this whole scene and then used colored pencils and markers to make the cars pop and blend. I found a photograph of cabs and taxis driving around in the city and then I used it as a reference and added an alien in one of the cars.

3rd piece: "Alien President"
My plan for my 3rd project is an alien if it were president. I want it to be in this office and sitting at the desk looking professional. I want to use paint and sketch first on a canvas. I had this idea because I was thinking of how my inquiry could have an idea of an alien being something famous and professional. I think this would be perfect because no one thinks about how aliens living here could do anything and an alien being an actual president is ironic. I will use this image as a reference for the scene and paint an alien in the chair or the room wherever.
