for this project, I had to make a handle, so I decided to make a little cup and add a handle to it. I've never made a handle before so this was a bit tricky. I made a slab and rolled it into a thin cup, I scored and slipped the edges. Then I made a coil and made it long and wet and score and slipped the edges and measured how long it should be and where it should be placed on the side of the cup. I like how this turned out because I think it's cute how small and thin the cup is. But if I were to do this again I would make the handle thicker so its more supportive and the cup maybe wider.
For this project, I had to make 4 things the same size and shape. This was fun to do but hard. I made a big slab and measured 4 of the same size rectangles. I cut them out with a knife and rolled them up scored and slipped the edges to create a little tea cup. I tried to smooth them all out and make them even. I then cut out little circles on the bottom of the cups and scored and slipped those. so now they had bottoms. I liked how this turned out and it was fun to see them come along but if iw were to do this differently i would try extra hard to make them actually exactly the same sixe because of course they weren't. I tried my best though to make them the same.
For this project,I was to respond to a poem piece, the poem i received was pretty confusing to me so this project was difficult for me. It was short and i wasn't sure how to respond to it. it talked about a boot and the different eyes of people and how people are viewed. so i decided to make a boot, like a shoe. And added a creep eye in the middle of it. I took a thick piece of clay and started shaping out the shoe look. i tried to add details like the tip of the shoe, and the bottom and add thicker pieces to the bottom. I actually like how this turned out because I think this actually looks like a shoe and the colors i chose. If i were to do this next time I would add more detail to the eye. I would also make the shoe bigger and maybe add something in the middle of the boot. I liked how i made the shoe super smooth because i used a paintbrush to even snd smooth out all the sides.
For this project, I was to make a useful slab. so I constructed a slab and shaped out a round shape, and scored and slipped a coil around the whole shape. so now it works as a tray. I also added more coils across the middle to create sections. I want to use this for sauces or for something like that to separate the different ingredients. I do like how this turned out because I will actually use this. i used a paintbrush to smooth out everything and make it all even. If I were to do this again, I would probably make one of the sections larger maybe I could fit chicken nuggets or fries in it then add ketchup and mustard.

for this project, i was to make a lidded box. I made a pinch pot and just made it into a box shape. i tried to make the edges more straight than round and make it a box. I then took a flat slab and created the lid and put little coils in the inside so the box would fit the lid and the lid wouldn't fall through. I added a little knob at the top so I could pick up the lid later. I differently should have made this bigger and more smooth. But I do like the knob and shape of the lid. I would paint this pink.
