For this project I was to make a mask,. I carved out a chunk of clay and formed a face shape, then carved out the mouth hole. I slipped and scored the eye balls on and the nose and carved out for nostrils. I smoothed out the face really well with a wet paintbrush and brushed over it. I made holes in the ears so I can put a string through it and hang it up on a wall. I don't really know why I chose the glaze colors I did but I kinda liked how it turned out. I like the mouth open with the teeth yellow. If I were to do this again id make the actual shape of the face thicker and rounder like a bust.
For the bust project, i started out with a big chunk of clay and formed the face shape and the shoulders. i realized the face shape looked more like an alien than an actual human so I kept creating it to look like an alien. I love aliens a lot so I really liked how this turned out. It goes along well with my AP art portfolio actually. I like the creepy eyes I made, by indenting the eye sockets and filling them with black glaze. I had a lot of trouble with the nose trying to make it like an alien nose, it looks like Voldemort from Harry Potter. I like how the mouth turned out because the lips are super thin. I smoothed it all out with the wet paintbrush. I blended grey white and black glazes for the face and shoulders and I like how the colors turned out and it is pretty realistic. I probably should have made the shoulders broader and look more realsticily.
For this project, I had a lot of fun creating the sculpture and painting it. I looked at inspiration on pintrest for albrijes patterns and did an asorment of colors and patterns. I made a snail and slipped and scored a thin coil for the body spiral for the snail. I liked the head a lot I think it looks funny and has a lot of small detail. Although the head fell off while it was getting fired the first time, it glued back on the second time. I really liked how this turned out because of all the colors and vibrancy of it. If I were to do this again I would do the glazing even better because there are some places in creveces that arent fully glazed.

For this project, it was to do something useful. I followed a video on Pinterest and made it just like the videos. I took a flat slab of clay and slipped and scored a ball-shaped in the middle to look like the cowboy had looked. I slipped and scored a small coil of clay to add the white-lined detail to make it look better. I really like the glaze colors I chose and how smooth and well it turned out. in the end, I poked a hole in the top so I could put incense in the hole. If I were to do this again I wish I would have made the cowboy hat way bigger so it would look also like a real hat.
this project was the current artist-inspired streets. I decided to find this pretty artist who paints flowers. So I made a square pinch pot and painted flowers in the middle with a bunch of different colors and painted the backgrounds a color. In this picture, you cant really see the other flowers but they are painted all inside the middle and the outside pf the box is green. I don't really like how this turned out because the next time I would paint the flowers better and take my time on the details of the flowers.
